Meet Khoowago Manlikha: Your Wise & Whimsical Companion
Allow me to introduce you to Khoowago Manlikha, a truly adorable creature whose name is a playful blend of “Hoo” (the sound an owl makes) and “Kwago,” the Filipino term for “owl.” I’ve always been captivated by owls; they are universally associated with profound wisdom, and their nocturnal nature has long been linked to mystery and deep knowledge. Their large, forward-facing eyes and silent flight contribute to their perception as exceptionally observant and discerning creatures, believed to carry ancient wisdom and the ability to see what is hidden. This deep symbolism is why I chose such distinct and expressive eyes for this particular piece.
For Khoowago’s wings, I carefully handcrafted beautiful crocheted shapes, incorporating unique patterns of intricate beading and vibrant embroidery. I’ve also ensured that both her wings and her adorably colorful embroidered feet are bendable, allowing you to playfully move her wings or even make her tiptoe if you wish!
