This piece captures a moment of profound vulnerability. It speaks to the inability to express one's true feelings due to the fear of external judgment, evoking the sensation of being exposed and perceived as an object for public consumption. Yet, within its subtle elements, there is a visible progression of emotional unfolding. The work subtly hints at the potential for liberation that arises from allowing oneself to flow, shedding emotional burdens, and stepping out of one's comfort zone to embrace the outside world. This journey reveals a gradual release from past afflictions, suggesting that beyond the confines of a single "plate," there exists a complete and expansive "table" of possibilities.

About the Artist

I am a young artist from Barquisimeto, Venezuela, with an academic background in the visual arts. My artistic practice delves into the personal experience of interacting with myself and the external world, through introspection, exploring the nuances of interpersonal relationships, particularly their inherent difficulties. Through research, particularly on Carl G. Jung's vision of the mind and its holistic nature, I found a way to work with emotions with a mystical aspiration, which is complemented by the use of animal metaphors and allegories inspired by myths and spiritual beliefs.
I construct scenes that represent memories, conflicts, and the enduring emotional residue they leave behind, taking inspiration from classical styles such as Baroque, alongside more contemporary movements like Neofigurativism, as well as artists such as Caravaggio, Francisco de Goya, Francis Bacon, and Guillermo Lorca, who are my references both in the use of figures and themes, expressing my eclectic nature.
I have had the opportunity to participate in local exhibitions promoted by the Universidad Centroccidental Lisandro Alvarado (UCLA) called "Encuartelados sin rejas" having participated in two editions ("X" edition and "XI" edition respectively) in addition to winning recognition for technical management in a final semester exhibition, this recognition led me to participate as a guest artist in a local art festival called "Irreverente Fest".
