This work is part of the Element Series, an ongoing body of work in which different horse breeds are explored through a structured set of four paintings, each corresponding to a specific element.
The white Arabian mare is approached through a study of clarity, precision, and presence. Known for its refined structure and distinctive energy, the Arabian breed is here reduced to essential form, allowing its elegance and intensity to emerge without distraction.
Set against a blue background, the white figure creates a stark visual contrast that emphasizes both purity and tension. The cool field of color acts as a spatial and emotional counterpoint, isolating the subject while enhancing its luminosity and sculptural quality.
Although rooted in observation, the work retains a painterly sensitivity, where brushwork and surface remain visible. The study becomes more than a technical exercise it functions as a focused exploration of breed identity, atmosphere, and elemental association within the larger series.
