Réalisée à l’occasion du défilé TARS au Musée de l’Afrique à Tervuren en 2025,
cette œuvre incarne la célébration de la beauté, de la fierté et de la richesse culturelle africaine, plus précisément congolaise.

Sur un format carré de 50 x 50 cm, Le TARS met en scène trois femmes africaines aux teints noirs et métissés, habillées de tenues traditionnelles issues du patrimoine congolais. Leurs silhouettes sont traitées avec sobriété mais puissance, mêlant nuances profondes de noir à des touches dorées raffinées. À droite, une figure métissée introduit une variation subtile dans les carnations, soulignant la diversité et la multiplicité des identités africaines.

Le fond brun chaud est parsemé de visages esquissés à l’or, comme des présences spectrales ou des ancêtres veillant sur la scène. Ces traits dorés, délicats mais expressifs, évoquent la mémoire, la dignité et la continuité entre les générations.
