This work is a piece of my own soul, a map of a place that no longer exists in reality, yet remains more real than anything else: our childhood home.
I chose to paint this labyrinth not as a house of walls and doors, but as a house of feelings and echoes. The three figures you see are my siblings and I. We are caught in a beautiful, "vicious" cycle—a loop of time where we are forever children, forever running, forever together.
For me, memory isn't a straight line; it's these staircases. We run up and down, over the "jackets" of our youth—symbols of the protection and the identity we wore back then. I used these vibrant blues, yellows, and purples because that is how childhood feels when you look back: it’s bright, it’s pulsing with life, and it’s slightly blurred by the mist of nostalgia.
Even though the paths seem to lead everywhere and nowhere, there is no fear in this maze. There is only the rhythmic pulse of kinship. We are "trapped" in this cycle, yes, but it is the most comforting trap in the world—the knowledge that no matter how many years pass, in some corner of my mind, we are still there, playing in those corridors, interconnected forever.
